General description of the collection: The Roy Appleman photograph collection consists of a single subject collection, concentrating on the Korean War. The photographs of box 1 are primarily copies of Signal Corps photos he acquired from the National Archives, with some being copies of private photos. A wide variety of subjects on the war are addressed. Box 2 are photos Appleman took in Korea on nine rolls of film. They are all tourist-type photos and of marginal value at best.
